In 1977, the explanation had not been discovered yet. In 2016, the NASA delivers decisive evidence for Prof. Antonio Paris’ theory. This theory can be checked, proved or rejected in 2017 and in 2018.

According to the astronomy professor Antonio Paris from St. Petersburg College in Florida, the “Wow! signal” has its origin in an extremely special natural phenomenon, namely that two comets has passed the same district of the space on the 15th August 1977.

These comets are 266P/Christensen and P/2008 Y2 (Gibbs), which were not discovered when the “Wow! signal” was recorded. The two comets were discovered in 2006. When they approach the sun they send a brief signal. The reason for that signal are the UV rays of the sun that split up the frozen water (H2O) on the surface of the comets amongst others in hydrogen (H2). Then the H2 spread in cosmos in a cloud-like shape and send this short, strong signal like that one that is known as the “Wow! signal”.

According to this theory, the origin would not be (fortunately or unfortunately) a message of aliens to contact other intelligent beings, but the splitting of water of comets that come close to the sun. But when we assume that the presence of water in the universe increases the probability of living beings in the space, it’s a huge, hopeful and exciting step for all alien believers.

But there is also scientific criticism of the theory of Prof. Antonio Paris. Some scientists do not believe that the H2-clouds are able at all to generate such a strong signal like the “Wow! signal”.

But that is not really a problem because it’s great that Prof. Antonio Paris’ comet theory can be checked very soon. On January 25, 2017 the comet 266P/Christensen will pass the exact same space region (in constellation Sagittarius) and at January 07, 2018 the comet P/2008 Y2 (Gibbs) will do the same. Unfortunately, they will not appear together like in 1977, but it will take about 600 years until this special natural phenomenon will occur again.

Nevertheless, the theory of Prof. Antonio Paris could be confirmed or refuted at these two dates by using the records and analysis of the comet’s hydrogen signals and their speed in the years 2017 and 2018.

Prof. Antonio Paris has received the information about these both comets collected at the moment of the recording of the “Wow! signal” and when they appear again at that region in space from the NASA.

Who does not want to know for about 40 years of puzzling where this enigmatic “Wow! signal” actually came from? Is there any water as an important basis for life in the universe? Can we hope that we got a message by extraterrestrial intelligent beings any longer? Anyone – you and we – can help to check this interesting theory of the brilliant and renowned Prof. Antonio Paris.

How can you and we do that? This will be published in the one of the next articles.
